Welcome to my website!

I value my reputation as a photographer so it matters to me that anyone coming to my photography for the first time can have confidence in the quality of my work. My prints have been exhibited regularly for thirty years and many are in private collections. As Reader at the University of Brighton, I was best known for my large format black and white landscapes that demanded consummate technique. In the digital era I retain a pure approach. However, “cameras don’t make pictures; people do” – and it is an undiminished passion for wild land that is my primary motivator, whatever the tools.
